Special needs swim classes |
Parks and Recreation is offering swimming classes for children 4 to 14 with specials needs. The class will be for kids who require the assistance of a parent or an adult with whom they are comfortable in the water. The class will promote water safety, aquatic adjustment, swimming readiness skills and parental involvement. Each class will begin at 6 PM for a 1/2 hour session,. the cost is $30. Book Fair |
The Ladies Library Club will sponsor the Scholastic Book Fair at the Mabel C. Fry Library, 1200 lakeshore. The sale features reasonably priced books for all ages. The proceeds benefit the library. For more info, call 354-8232. |

New Teacher Luncheon |
To welcome the Yukon Public School's new teachers to the community, the Yukon Chamber of Commerce prepares "Goodie Bags" for each teacher. Your business, organization, church, civic group, etc. may donate something to the bag. Such things may include, coupons, business cards, pens, cups, letter openers, key chairs, note pads and much more. Call the Chamber office at 354-3567 for more information. |

All school employees including teachers, administration, bus drivers, cafeteria staff, eminence staff and all others are invited to an appreciation breakfast on August 19.
